We are pleased to invite you to Universities of the Future event Joining Forces Across Sectors - a discussion on the importance of cross-sectoral collaboration in the Industry 4.0 era. By bringing together speakers and participants from industry, higher education, governmental agencies, and student organizations, the event aims to encourage shared learning from experiences of collective efforts across sectors.
The discussion is sparked with a panel of key players in the field, including Jouni Kaplas (Futurice), Leena Pöntynen (Technology Industries of Finland), Noora Vänttinen (Aalto University), Petri Vuorimaa (Finnish Institute of Technology) and Wycliffe Raduma (Product Development Professional).

About the panellists
Jouni Kaplas has a 10+ year background in software development and digital consultancies. For the past year he has been running the learning and development operations at Futurice, which has effectively turned this computer nerd into an HRD professional.
Noora Vänttinen is a Master’s student from Aalto University. Majoring in Control, Robotics and Autonomous Systems. Noora has been active in Aalto community, eg. student union board, and in free time likes to volunteer and participate in social debate.
Prof. Petri Vuorimaa is the director of the Masters programme in Computer, Communication and Information Sciences at Aalto University. He is also responsible for the double degree EIT Digital masters programme at Aalto University. In addition, Prof. Vuorimaa leads the Aalto learning strategic initiative on Programme Attractiveness. Recently, he has also been working on continuous education within the FITech network university as the project manager of 10 M€ FITech ICT project.
Wycliffe Raduma is a design-driven Engineer with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for lifelong learning. Also part-time Doctoral Student, and part of the teaching team of the ADD BASICS course for the Aaltonaut program. Wycliffe’s recent work includes engineering design for medical imaging products at KaVo Kerr and Philips, and teaching the fundamentals of digital design and manufacturing to multidisciplinary groups of Aalto students. Past work includes research on educational practices within the university's mechanical engineering degree program, and activities as a member of Aalto Design Factory, PDP staff, and Aalto University’s Digital Design Lab (ADDLAB).
