The Institute of Physics (IOP) Finland Chapter and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Finland Section invite you to a seminar on new research and applications in image sensing and processing.
The seminar will take place on Friday 20th September at Aalto University, Espoo. The seminar will be chaired by Dr Toni Mattila (IEEE) and Professor Matti Kaivola (IOP).
The program is as follows:
10:05 Professor Tommi Hakala, University of Eastern Finland, on condensation and lasing in plasmonic nanoparticle lattices.
10:50 Professor Mircea Guina, Tampere University of Technology, on optoelectronics technology for photonics integration.
12:35 Professor Ephraim Suhir, USA, on failure oriented accelerated testing and its role in making a viable electronic or photonic device into a reliable product.
13:20 Dr Juha Kalliopuska, CEO, Advacam Oy, on spectral X-ray cameras for non-invasive inspection.
14:35 Lauri Lipasti, CTO, Kindhelm Oy, on light detection and ranging (LiDAR) and Artto Aurola, CEO, Pixpolar Oy, on low light image sensor.
15:20 Petri Kalske, Unikie, on LiDAR for real time detection.
Everyone interested in the subject is welcome to attend.
